The Saturnettes – Girl Named Sue

The Saturnettes, from Tampere, blend in a refreshing way the 70s glam rock sounds of David Bowie and T-Rex with a touch of new wave and synth-pop. After some logistic problems, the band is finally releasing their debut album Meet The Saturnettes on 16 November. Get a taste of the album on the band’s webs. It will make your day with some uplifting melodies.

Matti Johannes Koivu – Live at Studio Kekkonen

Studio Kekkonen, home of producers / engineers / mixers Julius Mauranen, Mikko Raita and Janne Riionheimo and birthplace of many, many good records, is launching a new series of videos live at the studio to give an insight look at recording sessions done by some Finnish artists and bands. The first one in the series is songwriter Matti Johannes Koivu who performs the unreleased song Buddha. The result is charming close-up video that captures the singer and his band in the most intimate setting.

Watch the video below and head to to Studio Kekkonen’s blog to read some details about its recording.
